A Christian Community for the Elderly with Assisted Living set in two wonderful locations in the Historic City of Lichfield.
St John's is an Almshouse founded in 1495 that provides modern unfurnished accommodation for Single Men and Married Couples in well equipped flats. Our original site going back to 1135 is a haven built around our own Chapel with the new building situated in The Cathedral Close looking out over The Minster Pool.
The Town Centre is a short level walk from both sites and Health Centres and a new modern hospital are also conveniently located.
Lichfield is situated on the main West Coast railway line with fast trains to London and also on the local line to Birmingham. We are also near the National Memorial Arboretum.
To qualify for residency applicants should :-
- Be resident in the Diocese of Lichfield
- Have the support of a parish priest and are encouraged to share with other residents in worship in either our own chapel or the Cathedral.
- Be capable of independent living with support if necessary.
- Be in need which may be Financial, Spiritual or Communal.
The Trustees invite expressions of interest and will contact those who have done so as and when accommodation becomes available.
